After months of having my hair colored, retouched and styled, it was about time to get a hair treatment from the salon. Thanks to Cynos, it was an afternoon well-spent with my sister over Keratin treatments and gel nail polish.
Have you ever been to a food & art installation? Yes, food AND art at the same time. Doesn’t that sound incredibly unique and exciting? I was so thrilled to attend this one-night-only installation by La Cellule’s Emmanuel Becquemin & Stephanie Sagot and I have to say, it was a “beautiful dining experience.”
I had so much fun this weekend at Fairview Terraces! Ayala Malls had something special for us bloggers that day and it turned out somewhat like a field trip. For most of us, it was our first time to visit that mall, seeing as it is quite far. It reminded me of Ayala Center Cebu with a little bit of Greenbelt 3 and Glorietta 1 vibes. Exciting day ahead!

Ruffles bags celebrate young women’s individuality through its wide and diverse range of styles, colors, and features, thoughtfully designed to help girls create their own fashion statement and express themselves through it. I remember having a Ruffles bag when I was 7 - 9 years old. It was a purple backpack that fit all my school books, notebooks and folders. Haha! And now they have better and cuter designs for pre-teens and teens which I know you will love!
I attended the exclusive contract signing at SM Makati with my little sister who is a huge fan of Kath. Other fans were standing around the event wanting to see her up close so it was an exciting event.
Last week, I attended Club Tropicana, a really cool shop + drink + eat event by Aranaz at One Rockwell. This chic poolside affair, packed with stylish people, Aranaz designs, refreshing cocktails and savory treats, was a great way to welcome summer!
I was already quite familiar with the Aranaz designs due to constant visits to Manila Fame. These are such perfect bags for summer. Some were even available to be customized that day!
How cute are these minaudières! They were also selling home accessories such as this tray. Great to decorate your home with this season!
It was an afternoon well-spent! I had my nails done thanks to St. Nails. Most of the bags you saw are available online and some are only available for pre-order. Visit aranaz.ph now to check out their latest collection!

Some confuse gastropubs for just merely pubs or bars. Gastropubs actually offer high quality food based on traditional pub recipes. When you dine at Locale Gastrobar, you’ll realize that this is the perfect place to meet with friends, grab a few beers and dine in!
The interiors are simple, casual and cozy. Quite spacious, which I really like. They have different types of seating and offer outdoor seating as well.
They have irresistible promos and offers on different days of the week so make sure to avail of those.
Enough with the ambiance. Let’s begin eating! Thank you to Chef Raffy who prepared this delicious 9-course meal.
Truffled Mozza Balls
This was insanely good. It was just the right kind of cheesy. Mozzarella isnt know to be that tastiest cheese but the way they made it, deep fried in a thin batter and paired with marinara and aioli dip could have made me finish this bucket all by myself. I would definitely order this every visit.
Angus Basil Meatballs
Meaty, juicy, just enough flavor. I would’ve liked it to be richer in flavor, tastier and seasoned more but that’s just my personal preference.
Most taco salads get soggy because of their salsa. What I love about their version is that it stays crunchy because they used sour cream which helped prevent it from sogging up. If you feel like getting something light and fresh, order this!
MMMMMMM! This is probably my ultimate favorite. I love the sauce, I love how the shrimp was cooked. This would go nicely with their draft beer or a really cold drink.
Deep Fried Grilled Cheese
Perfect crispy outer layer and melt-in-your-mouth goodness right here. And I always pair my sandwiches with chips so this is just perf. It’d make a lunch meal or merienda depending on your appetite. MMM!
I like how creamy the risotto was. The salmon was cooked a few minutes more than I would’ve liked but it still goes really well with the risotto. The portion size of the salmon is somewhat big and more than enough.
Falls off the bone, tangy bbq taste!
Blue Marlin Curry
Not a big fan of curry but I love how the menu includes a vast array of dishes. My friends quite enjoyed this one!
Foie Gras Burger
Can you see that huge chunk of foie gras? Well if you love duck fat, greasy burgers, and a side of fries, this is a must-try!
To be honest, Locale proved to be better than Draft. Their prices are much more affordable. Their BIG ASS draft beer is just Php150! Can you believe that? I surely couldn’t. I have to go back again and bring my friends with me. Cheers to the weekend!

To those who want one, nothing else even comes close. Its lure has been attracting willing customers for over sixty years. Many prospective customers know that Sean Connery —and later Roger Moore—wore one in nearly all the early Bond films. Of course that means we could only be talking about the Rolex Submariner. The Submariner was released in 1954 and was designed to help scuba divers brave the harsh, unforgiving environment of the ocean’s depths. The new sport of scuba diving was one of the original extreme sports before the term was even coined, and Rolex had a leg up on the competition with their incredibly popular (and waterproof) Oyster case. All they had to do was refine it to make it more suitable for scuba. They did that, and did it so successfully that it isn’t unusual to find vintage Submariners that originally cost less than the price of a current rolex service cost, still going strong and running well after fifty plus years.
The only watch you will ever need.
The Submariner was essentially an extra sturdy Oyster with a neat rotating bezel that enabled the diver to time his dive. This was important in the days before modern dive computers. It became popular with anyone needing a tough-as-nails waterproof watch, not just divers. Special forces commandos and other adventurers took to the new Submariner with gusto. Chuck Yeager, WWII US Army Air Force fighter ace and the first man to break the sound barrier in 1947, wore a Submariner in the 1960s. He’d worn a Rolex Oyster during the war and later when he broke the sound barrier. The Submariner was a no nonsense, more modern upgrade for a no nonsense man. It wasn’t just the ‘reel world’ celluloid super spies who loved the Submariner; real world heroes like Yeager did, too.
Rolex ran a very cool ad in 1967 that showed the arm of a man in a tuxedo, à la James Bond. He’s wearing a Submariner and holding a wine glass with a lady’s hand just barely, playfully touching his. The ad said that although it was designed to work perfectly at 660 feet, “it seems to work pretty well at any level.” It added the Submariner was often seen where the “wettest thing around is a dry martini,” and that maybe its popularity was due to its black face going so well with black tie. It concluded, “Ask her. Maybe she knows.” Rolex certainly got their money’s worth with that ad. It still sells Subs today and more importantly, it underscores the essence of the watch’s enduring popularity. It isn’t James Bond that sells them so much as versatility. It is a watch that can do anything—and looks good doing it. That makes it truly a hard act to follow. Just ask the competition.
If your fine watch needs servicing, be sure to check out the rolex service center. It features true CW-21Certified watchmakers who use authorized factory parts accounts, all at very attractive prices.

This 2014, Cream Silk, the No. 1 Hair Care brand, celebrates its 30th Anniversary! 30 years of limitless possibilities for the Beyond Beautiful Filipina.
Officially launched just last September for the Philippine market, SEVENFRIDAY timepieces communicate a unique aura, different from any other watch out there.
I went to the party with my sister, Shari, and my boyfriend, Jacob. The party was themed after the watch’s industrial chic appeal so the venue gave the perfect vibe.
“When you look at the timepiece market today, there is a lack of innovation,” says Daniel Niederer, owner and founder of Sevenfriday. “We wanted to create something that represents a lifestyle that I want to live, the values I believe in. That was really the foundation of Sevenfriday.”
He was a pretty cool guy. I can’t find the photo I took with him. We had drinks with him and his friends as well. He sort of reminded me of Hugh Grant for some reason.
To create the Sevenfriday, Dan partnered with the Studio Divine team, based in Biel, Switzerland, to create the now-iconic Sevenfriday design language.
“The thing was to create a timepiece of the highest quality standards,” says Dan about the brand, “with a very high perceived value but still quite affordable. We wanted create a watch you don’t just put in a drawer. Normally, you look at a watch and you think, oh it’s a jewelry watch, it’s a sports watch. But you look at this watch and you’re not sure. Is it classic or is it modern? I don’t want to classify it, really. I don’t want to specify what it stands for. I believe a good design shouldn’t explain too much.”
While photos of Sevenfriday’s one-of-a-kind timepieces are often enough to wow even non-collectors, nothing beats the sensory and tactile experience of actually wearing a Sevenfriday watch. Up close and in motion, you can truly appreciate the elegance of its multi-faceted dial, and admire the handiwork that defines its finish. On the wrist, you can feel the grace underneath its modernity. Everyone will want to know what you’re wearing, and how they can get one.
The night peaked when the Sevenfriday identified top personalities who embody the Sevenfriday brand: Ornussa Cadness. Being an awesome epitome of chic and edgy, this DJ-model has made her own unique brand of gorgeousness with a remarkable edge. Jeron Teng, winning was about a thorough mastery of his craft. Technical perfection makes it a strong player in the watch market. Chef Laudico. We know him well for some of our favorite foodie joints. In Sevenfriday fashion, he represents success in doing what you’re ultimately passionate about. Laureen Uy. This youthful and popular digital maven represents a leadership in a world that moves at hyper pace. She’s Sevenfriday material, indeed. Anton Del Rosario. Pinoy at heart but ultimately global in stance, this good-looking Azkal won hearts when football became all the rage. Sevenfriday will definitely take Pinoys up a notch. Rhian Ramos is anything but your ordinary run-of-the-mill actress. Like Sevenfriday, she stands out because she’s candidly casual but also sophisticatedly beautiful at the same time.
Last is Senator Chiz Escudero. He has the ability to bring substance and strength to the house—and like a Sevenfriday watch that always makes a tasteful statement.
With Sevenfriday in the local scene, watch enthusiasts are now edgier, cooler, more hip. This is probably my favorite design. It really does appeal to most women. Plus, it can easily match our feminine to somewhat androgynous outfits. I can’t seem to leave the house without a watch.
With a casual luxe brand on their wrists, Filipinos can now make every day a Sevenfriday.
Sevenfriday is exclusively available in Manila as well as its solo botique located at Promenade 3 fo the Greenhills Shopping Complex. For inquiries, please email email@example.com. Follow @sevenfriday_manila on Instagram and Twitter for updates!
Wondering what treatment to get for your dry, frizzy, unmanageable hair due to constant coloring and styling? And where to have it done? Well, let me first introduce you to Introspect Salon, an urban salon that offers services for your head-to-toe needs.
Introspect Salon just opened its second branch in the new Fisher Mall. So if you plan to visit the new mall, drop by Introspect if you feel like pampering yourself. Here’s something you should try.
You might have heard about the trending Brazilian Blowout treatment which will magically transform your hair into naturally smooth silky hair. This treatment is only available in exclusive salons and is only done by trained professionals from Brazilian Blowout.
Other salons have imitated this treatment and used the same term, so to make sure you are getting and paying for the authentic one, make sure your stylist shows you the products as they apply it unto your hair. Let’s get started! All products used will be from Brazilian Blowout.
Shampoo & conditioner! This step prepares your hair for the application of the treatment.
Next is the application of the (most important) smoothing solution. They will only use a small amount even for long hair. They apply it and leave it for about 10-15 minutes.
No rinsing needed here. They will blowdry your hair and use a ceramic iron to straighten it.
After your hair is straightened, it’s now time to rinse! They will also apply the conditioning masque at this stage. I like the sensation of the products applied in my hair. It has this cool menthol-like feeling.
Last step is to apply some serum and blowdry the hair to see the results!
Voila! I’m very happy with my hair! It’s been about four days since the treatment and I finally got rid of the difficult time I would have in the morning fixing my hair. After my shower, I never have to worry about it drying and ending up like a mess. Now it’s always straight, smooth and silky just as promised! The treatment is said to last for 10-12 weeks if maintained well.
Why go to other popular expensive salons (because of their well-established status and rental and other reasons) when you can get the same treatment at Introspect Salon for a more reasonable price?
Visit Introspect Salon at the 3rd Floor of Fisher Mall, Quezon Ave.
Thanks to Ms. Cai for inviting me to their opening and thank you to my friend Dilly too!
If there’s one thing I absolutely love in this world, something I can never say no to, something that always cheers me up, something that makes me truly happy, it’s shoe shopping. Nothing beats the feeling of buying a new pair of shoes and adding a new member to my collection. Where better to shop than in one of my new favorite stores, CLN.
